Presentation

With more than 470 members, the Cybersecurity group aims to encourage collective thinking and exchanges between security players and professionals, in order to improve everyone's skills and network, in the private and public sectors as well as in research. To this end, it addresses managerial, societal, economic and technical issues relating to cybersecurity. It is open to Telecom Paris alumni, students, PhD students and professors, as well as institutional representatives. It aims to collaborate with other institutions or groups interested in security.

The group with about 470 members, aims at elaborating new and challenging points of view on cyber-security matters. Thanks to meetings and events hosted mainly in Telecom Paris facilities in Paris or inline , with alumni and professionals that work in this domain. Documents, reports, minutes are shared in the Médias section of the group.

What's more, we've created an associated LinkedIn group open to all those who want to join us, alumni or not: contact one of us to sign up.
The alumni members of this group can also register to our Signal group in order to participate and share themes, skills and actions in a more pro-active, collaborative exchange mode.

Cyber Security has received considerable media coverage over the past few years, thanks to spectacular and worrying incidents at all levels.

However, this coverage is often excessively specific and technical, to the detriment of many cross-functional and cultural aspects that seem essential in the long term (governance and priority of Cyber Security within the company; protection of personal and sensitive data; social role of states and companies in the sector in the protection of the environment).companies; protection of personal and sensitive data; the social role of governments and companies in the sector in the use of data and the design of secure products, etc.).
Cyber Security is the keystone of digital transformation, and as such, the Télécom Paris alumni network - and the school itself - would like to contribute to advancing the debate in this field, by organising exchanges on all the professions and issues involved. They will also organize round tables and webinars open to the widest possible audience, and publish points of view and expertise on several media, including the association's REVUE TELECOM.
The aim is to make a plural, alternative and innovative voice heard by drawing on the communication networks of the association, the école and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris to which it belongs, as well as those of the many graduates professionally involved in the field or active around the theme.

The Group is building a concrete and lasting activity around the theme, and proposes to choose and explore an annual subject and to deal with it by producing a dossier in one of the 4 annual publications of REVUE TELECOM.
