Alain Amariglio est ingénieur, entrepreneur, instituteur, auteur. Il fait ses études au Lycée Henri Poincaré de Nancy puis à Télécom Paris Tech (alors ENST) et, sitôt son diplôme obtenu, crée SLP avec Jean Schmitt, Jérôme Pujol et Thierry Delbecque. La première partie de sa carrière est consacrée à la création et au développement de cette start up, entreprise de pointe dont les clients sont les opérateurs de télécommunications.

Dans son premier livre, "Il était un petit navire", il raconte son aventure d’entrepreneur. Le deuxième, "Dans la classe", est consacré à son expérience d’instituteur et surtout à ses élèves.
